Take the break!
Beautiful weather,..got a lot accomplished on a sunny Sunday. Put the patio furniture away, pulled up all the frost killed flowers, stacked the fridge with lunch foods for the week etc..yet somehow these acts are tainted because we did them on a Sunday. Doing chores on a Sunday means we can't do other things. And traditionally, we try and keep Sunday what is was meant to be...the sabbath. I don't shop, clean, exercise or do any of the daily grind. We go to mass, go out to eat, visit, talk and enjoy each others company. We watch football and keep track if we are winning or losing money in our football polls, and listen to my husband lament over and over again, "There's no dancing in football! Quit cheer leading in that end zone and play the game." And we laugh, somehow it never gets old. We give our self permission to accept the permission granted in the Commandments and take the day of rest and a day to praise. Sunday is the best day of the week! when we accept this gift of time and reflect and discuss about that gospel message and think about our family ... and it sets the tone for the rest of the whole week...we can get up Monday and be refreshed and ready to go... I wish we didn't put that patio furniture away and went to visit our daughter instead.

Yeah and not just the end zone - stop dancing around and leading cheers when after sacks and first downs and just get back in the huddle for goodness sakes!
