Wow! lol. Now, that's telling them. :-) Thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind comments. I look forward to getting to "know" you. I will be happy to follow you, as well. :-)
Really too bad. I love bookstores and could probably live in one. I have an e-reader now, but I miss the feel and even the smell of new books, and still continue to buy them. I love spending the afternoon in Barnes & Noble or Books-A-Million
Love the sign. Though I don't love that they went out of business. Would love for you to stop by and share http://totsandme.blogspot.com/2012/02/wordless-wednesday-february-29-2012.html
Ouch! Oh, how I miss our Border's. It was gone months ago and the building it was in is just empty. It was so sad to see them selling all the shelves, even.
Since Amazon is a Cyber store, does that mean the bathroom is somewhere in cyberspace?
Frankly, I require an actual "book in the hand" and have yet to resign myself to the electronic readers. It's something about the smell and the feel of the book, to mark the place and then clutch it and ponder what was just read... just sayin'
Sad...I was once guilty of only reading books (and drinking coffee) at Barnes & Noble...and buying them from Amazon, but seeing Borders go under woke me up to the fact that I need to support our brick and mortar bookstores too. Great picture! And thanks for stopping by my Wordless Wednesday!
Lol. I'm sad to see Borders go too. I hope we don't lose our bookstores to online stores like Amazon. Although I DO get all my books from Amazon..err...but it's cause I never have to pay more than $5!
Wow- this message is powerful! Thanks for stopping by Pink Lady! I hope you will follow me http://holly-pinklady.blogspot.com I am now a follower of your blog and I already cannot get enough...love your post on lent especially- priceless :)

I love books...and read A LOT...however I do understand why people use amazon as books in the store are very highly priced so i but a lot of mine from there...or just use the library.
As for the 'Restrooms' sign....I shop on amazon at home so I always have a restroom available!!
That's funny. I work at Barnes and Noble. Many people think we are a library and come in, have us spend time looking up books for school research, sit at a table in the cafe for hours and then leave without purchasing ANYTHING! I love books. I love my job. I was sad to see Borders go.
Hi Cheryl - i chuckled at that. Glad to see that someone still had a sense of humour. Thank you for linking up at Winsome Wednesday and look forward to seeing you there next week :) God bless Tracy
I know, buying on Amazon is just making a purchase; buying from a book store is an experience! Thanks for linking up your WW post at Older Mommy Still Yummy!
Snarky! However ... I've been in tons of Borders and Barnes&Nobles before discovering Amazon and never bought any books at either one because I could get better deals elsewhere. It's just fun to browse. ^.^
You could literally buy your own bathroom on Amazon.com! Thus the name AMAZON - not one can compete! Oh well, I admit I am an Amazon shopper (and book seller!)
That is sad. I usually go to a pet store here in town that was like a mom and pop shop. Instead of going to Petco... I went to get worms for our lizards and the place was shut down! Not sure why but I just don't like Petco...now I have to go there for worms!
Ha ha I really like this. Good idea with the worldless wednesday! Thanks for stopping by my blog, I'm now your newest follower! And holy cow 8 KIDS! I'm still just pregnant with my first and I'm overwhelmed!
Gee no wonder they went out of business. Could it be that they didn't have good customer service by not providing a bathroom? Might as well just order your books on Amazon.com then if you can't even get personal service from a book store.
In this day and age, companies need to do things to stand out in the crowd, especially book stores. Still sad to see them go under though.
LOL..funny but could be true! Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog so I could find/follow you:D Looking forward to getting to know you and your family! Have a good day...
I feel bad for the brick and mortar bookstores, but I love Amazon....we live 45 minutes away from any bookstore, so I order used books from Amazon often. It is an ironic sign...I like it.
wha????? lol
ReplyDeleteWell!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL Okay then!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't seem very friendly! It looks like a bookstore- but usually their bathrooms are open to the public. :)
ReplyDeleteHaaaaa!!!! I totally get this. My sister is a book store manager.
ReplyDeleteUm, really?? LOL
ReplyDeleteWow! LOL!
ReplyDeleteWow, hope that change in the hours didn't throw a wrench in peoples schedule, haha. And I'm sure Amazon has plenty of toilets..How funny! xo
ReplyDeleteVery funny!
ReplyDeleteWow! lol. Now, that's telling them. :-) Thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind comments. I look forward to getting to "know" you. I will be happy to follow you, as well. :-)
ReplyDeleteBet they lost some customers with that sign.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog.
LOL
ReplyDeleteUm.....don't most people read in the bathroom? just saying.
ReplyDeletethanks for visiting me at Time out For Mom....following you back! Just going to nose around here for awhile :)
Better hold it! Lol
ReplyDeleteBawaaa- too funny! Another one you can link up on the Saturday laughs:)
ReplyDeleteI miss that store!
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why they leave the sign light lit up when it's been closed for months.
That no bathroom sign is just too funny!
Really too bad. I love bookstores and could probably live in one. I have an e-reader now, but I miss the feel and even the smell of new books, and still continue to buy them. I love spending the afternoon in Barnes & Noble or Books-A-Million
ReplyDeleteit is funny but at the same time it isn't.
ReplyDeleteI am soooooooooo anti all of the electronic readers. I pray they don't completely destroy books as we know them
Wow! Point taken! LOL
ReplyDeleteLove the sign. Though I don't love that they went out of business.
ReplyDeleteWould love for you to stop by and share

ReplyDeleteFrankly, I require an actual "book in the hand" and have yet to resign myself to the electronic readers. It's something about the smell and the feel of the book, to mark the place and then clutch it and ponder what was just read... just sayin'
RIP Borders... RIP
Funny, I have never been in one. Guess I won't be either.
ReplyDeleteSad...I am running out of bookstores to browse through....

ReplyDeleteBorders is doing very well over here on the other side of the pond. Malaysians still like to read 'real' books!!
ReplyDeleteOur Borders went out of business too. We really enjoyed going there. We are a family of big readers.
ReplyDeleteMakes me so sad...No where
ReplyDeleteI would rather hang out than book stores
Very funny. Whoever made that sign has a wicked sense of humor.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny. But it's sad news that it closed down.
