When they phoned the request for the cake the caller said I would like a cake with the words Best wishes Suzanne written on it. And then underneath those words write, We will miss you.
Very literal indeed! It almost had me running to my dictionary (or rather, checking one of the online ones. When I'm on the computer I check the dictionary online, when I'm reading books, it's the one on the bookshelf...).
I too had to read it a couple of times. What in the world was the person thinking when they wrote that on the cake--oh wait, they weren't. I don't think I've ever personally seen such a silly mistake.
Aloha, Stopping in to say hi and thanks for linking up last wordless Wednesday. We are up and ready for to host sweet friends for this wordless Wednesday, I'd love it if you were with us.
LOL! I remember one of the episode of Mel B's reality show when her husband ordered the cake for their daughter's graduation day. She was guiding him through the phone: write phoenix in the middle! and that's how the cake made with the writing: Congratulation Phoenix in The Middle
TOO FUNNY -- wondering if that was a case of english as a second language. We live in an area where there is a lot of immigrants and I have seen something similar to this in the past.
How did you manage to insert the words [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]] and stop the google reader from showing your whole post before someone even comes to your blog?
