    1. I can see crazy answers on an art test! Who gives an art test anyway??? Or is this a college art class that we all had to take because of the "liberal arts" label on the college of our choice? LOL!

  13. Oh dear. That is taking instructions to their most literal conclusion.

    ReplyDelete
  14. haha they should get extra credit for creativity....

    ReplyDelete
  15. Oh, I am a teacher and I am giggling out loud....

    ReplyDelete
  16. OH-That looks like something my LITERAL daughter would have done! Love it- xo Diana

    ReplyDelete
  17. I am also a teacher and this made me chuckle...we really need to be ABSOLUTELY CLEAR on giving instructions.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Now that is funny. Something I very well could have done. Math was not, nor ever will be my strong suit. lol. Thanks for linking up!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I was terrible at math and this looks like something I'd do. My parents were so worried about me...sorry Mom and Dad.

    ReplyDelete
  20. This is too funny! I had to think about it a minute...they actually did follow the instructions - sort of! Hope you are going to link up to WW this week! This is a great one!

  24. This is hilarious. I'm a retired math teacher and I never saw that before. I think it would be a reteach moment.

  25. ARGH! I teach first grade and I've seen similar answers. It makes me exclaim loudly to whoever's paper I'm grading (even though they're totally not around). Occasionally my husband helps me grade papers and he always hollers for help when he comes across one like this. Man... Sometimes I try to rationalize their answer to no avail. Alright, this gets me in the frame of mind for some teachin'!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Haha I wld have probably done the same at first glance of the qn :p

    ReplyDelete
  27. Chuckle!
Sorry I have been remiss in visiting, but summer has been swamped with both business & family this year. Stay with me, I'll be back more soon.

  30. As a professor, sometimes I really appreciate those. They can put a smile on your face and helps the drudgery of grading.

  31. Retired math teacher here and I must confess I had to look at the directions THREE times before I could understand how you people thought the student followed the directions. The third time I didn't "read" them, I just "looked" at them - if that makes sense!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Those are MY kind of answers.

    ReplyDelete
  33. The reason I'm so glad not to be one anymore! :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. That is awesome!! This kid followed the directions! lol

    ReplyDelete
  35. This is a really cool example of kids and how literal they can be. Sometimes our directions miss the point.

    ReplyDelete
  36. That's awesome!!

  45. Annmarie... It took me a minute to figure that out myself. We didn't us < and > too much back in the stone ages when I was in school. The kid didn't get it but he did try to follow instructions...in his own limited way! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

  50. Ha ahahahahha ... I was absent the day my 1st grade teacher taught the reading group that know was pronounced with a silent k and w, in that case....She let me read my turn without stopping to teach me those words. I began reading and said it wrong several times before she listened to what I was reading. Hahahhahha...same deal I suspect. I think that child did very well to follow instructions. Hahahahhaa.

    ReplyDelete
  51. This is sooo funny!
I can still remember my answers way back in elementary :)

    ReplyDelete

  83. It'a after 1 am in the morning right now and this made me laugh so hard. I think Teachers are seriously wired differently than other Humans because the things they have to face sometimes can either make them snap or have a good laugh. This may have been one of those latter moments.
