How Rumors Get Started

I am cleaning out my closet.  I have 2 big piles of clothes I didn't wear in the the last 3 years ready for Goodwill.  My husband had ESPN on so I just left it on. I hear the announcers cheering Roy Halladay as he just pitched a perfect game!  How amazing!  I immediately told my boys. My husband comes home from his run and I couldn't wait to give him some good Phllies news so I told him about the perfect game.  He said, "What are you talking about?" I told him it just happened and I saw it on ESPN. He then informed me I was watching old ESPN highlights.

  10. My husband will sometimes watch an encore of a Phillies game that he had seen the night before and not realize it until the last inning. A game is a game is a game.

  11. LOL, and that's why sports shouldn't include re-runs. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  12. Oh, heck no... I would have turned off ESPN the minute hubby walked away from it.

  20. Speaking of cleaning out clothes I just watched two episodes of The Hoaders and got up on commercial to throw some old food out of the fridge. Hope I'm still in the mood in the morning. Last Sunday after I watched it I got a lot done next day. lol

  22. LOL! I've done the same thing when watching a rerun of a Minnesota Twins Game.

  23. I am impressed that you heard what was being said. When the TV is on I rarely hear what they are saying unless I am specifically sitting down watching a program. Usually, it's more like background noise, while I do other things.

  24. oopss.. hate when that happens!

  31. Annmarie, I watched a golf match for about 30 minutes the other day before I realized that it was an old tournament...and that the one I thought I was watching was in a rain delay! I was really rooting for the tournament leader too... Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
