How To Get it All Done
Cooking, baking, shopping, wrapping, cleaning, driving kids in every direction...no way could I make prayer group yesterday. I was behind before the day even started. Then I thought for a moment, if I am this busy that I feel so overwhelmed, then I am just too busy. So, I decided in favor of fellowship and gathered around the familiar table with my prayer partners to talk and pray, for our husbands and our children and our country and the people who asked us to pray for them. Just like we do every week. I looked at my friends and knew they were my friends. And I ended up getting everything done after all, because God multiplies our time when we give it to Him in the first place.

Spot on. Thanks for your prayers! Our country certainly needs them.
ReplyDeleteThis is SO true! I've experienced this myself, so why do I ever skip spending time with the Lord when I need it the most? Doesn't make sense.

Amen! You are so right-It was a good day after all-xo Diana
ReplyDeletegood word this morning, thank you!
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely correct and thanks for reminding us!
ReplyDeleteHi Annmarie,
ReplyDeleteYes!! When we give God our firsts always, He returns to us multiple blessings, peace, joy and extended time. :)
Thanks for the wonderful reminder.
<><
I love this post! What a good reminder.
ReplyDeleteAMEN!
ReplyDeleteA good way to keep things in perspective and keep yourself grounded. Every thing else will get done or not…….. oh well…. Laura
ReplyDeleteBecause Jesus IS the reason for the season! Great post!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this. It made me stop and think about Christmas. The wonder of a small baby, born in such adverse circumstances, come to bring Peace and Goodwill to us all.
ReplyDelete(The last time I said something like this on my blog, you wouldn't believe how may "anti Christ" comments I got. Note, I didn't publish them.)
I completely agree...he gives us what we need-we just have to look for it! ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou have no idea how much I needed to read this. Thanks. :)
ReplyDeleteI should follow this example for I know the power of prayer and know of the wonders of God.
ReplyDeleteA wise choice. My grandmother always used to say, "If you have so many things to do that you don't know which one to do first, don't do any of them." Sometimes, we just have to get back to a place of inner calm, and then everything else falls into place.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a great statement:God multiplies our time when we give it to Him in the first place. So true.
ReplyDeleteWorks every time, doesn't it? Put Him first and He will always help us find a way to get the other things done.
ReplyDeleteSo, so, so true. He never gives us more than we can handle and He makes sure everything that needs to be done, gets done. Everything always falls into place =)
ReplyDeleteI completely agree! Not sure how it works, but it is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI so agree.
ReplyDeleteisn't that the truth!
ReplyDeleteAmen to that:)
ReplyDeleteAmen!
ReplyDeleteThis is very uplifting.
ReplyDeleteWonderful post. Very true.
ReplyDeletegreat truth there in the end...when we have our priority right...everything else falls into place..
ReplyDeleteThis is just what I needed to hear today. You've got it just right.
ReplyDeleteAlways Him first, then I'm surprised by how much I can accomplish. On another note, I've learned to "Just say no" to the other stuff. Picking and choosing between the good, better and best.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, and so true! When we put Him first, everything falls into place.
ReplyDeleteAmen to that!!
ReplyDeleteI knew the end before I even got to it, because I've seen/experienced it a bazillion times. :) A+ post!
ReplyDeleteSo true!
ReplyDeleteI love that you reminded me of this very important thing. I always do better when I take some time to be quiet, to think, and to pray. Even when very busy (and aren't we all?) it makes my day flow more smoothly.
ReplyDeleteYou made the good choice.
ReplyDeleteTruly an inspiration!!!
ReplyDeleteHe truly does. You are amazing!
ReplyDeleteThis is so true. There are so many days (like today) that I wonder how in the world everything got done. It's so bad that there are days I don't even remember "actually doing the task at hand." Thank you for the swift reminder to keep God the focus and it will all work out.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this! I was debating this morning between errands or temple and then I read your post. I just got home and it was the right choice.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you made the right choice, and still managed to get everything done.
ReplyDeleteRight.ON!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right! Thank you for the reminder - I needed it on this overwhelming day. Reia
