  7. I reckon Santa told the kids they wouldn't be getting any presents on Christmas Day because they've been naughty all year that's why they're crying.

  8. And through it all Santa smiles....Priceless!

  9. Hello,
I started following you today from the Wonderful Wednesday Blog hop. I told my kids this year that I wanted them to make funny faces if they get to see santa this year. I need a laugh.

  24. Yeah I never really understood that! When my daughter was little I asked her one year if she wanted to get her picture with Santa. She said no that was a good enough answer for me.No need to make your child sit on a strangers lap.Does not seem right especially if they are so upset and crying. What are we telling them?Santa is the only one smiling sort of creepy.

  29. Why do parents do that? I guess maybe the children don't start having a melt down until it's too late, but most of the time you can tell it isn't going to go well. I know Santas don't appreciate it either. They are exhausted by the end of the shift.

  30. Let's terrorize the kids for Christmas. That sounds like a good idea. (do you hear my sarcasm?)

  31. Santa probably wan't good to them the previous year! They remember!!!

  35. Is it just me but does Santa seem to be enjoying this a bit....he has one kid in a head lock and the other he has a kung fu grip on this liver...plus, he still manages to look calm and of course, SMILE.

  43. Annmarie, I worked as a department store Santa one Christmas many years ago in Jackson MI. I was only 19 or 20 but I was 6'1" and weighed in at about 210 without padding. I don't recall any kids in my lap crying but there were a couple who wouldn't even come close to "Santa". The nifty part was when my 3 young cousins came to talk to Santa. They never had a clue until years later when I showed them my copy of the photo that was taken. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

  44. So funny! I had one that did this. :)

  45. We have one where son smiled happily and daughter was the "screaming meamy", we called it.

  46. "Santa" was in Burger King last weekend- and when he began to approach my kids, my littlest one froze and swatted at him like he was a pesky fly. In sympathy, my nine year old said, "I know, Maggie, he really is kind of creepy if you look at him closely!"

    ReplyDelete
  47. Oh dear! I bet they have a laugh about that in years to come.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Ha, I don't remember ever wanting to sit on Santa's lap as a child.

    ReplyDelete
  50. My son always cried...He never got any closer than to the second in line. :)

  51. I was a shy child! My older sister hated me because I would get nervous and suck my thumb and she would get stuck singing with Santa! HaHa! She still reminds me all these years later! Our oldest son was Santa few times when he worked for Target and said he was dumbfounded by parents who forced their kids on him and they would scream and yell and cry! He always felt sorry for those little ones!

    The photo is precious!

  52. ahahaha!! this pic is just so hilarious!!! i'm glad none of these kids are yours :) they look so scared of Santa while Santa was trying to hold on to them as much as he can :(
