  2. February 1 is our son's 28th bday...he called me yesterday with the happy news that their baby on the way is a boy. God in our hearts and society is far more powerful than the federal government.

  5. says much about us what we choose to protect....and for whose good we do it...

  6. We have lost our way. And we are suffering for our choices.

  7. I just wanted to let you know that I loved your comment on my WW- so much truth- to the core of my being it bothers me that children are a choice in our culture...I'll never understand it, but I will pray for those making these choices and for the lives lost.
    Happy WW

  8. One of the better arguments for legal protection of unborn children I have ever seen...and I've spent time on both sides of that argument.

  10. When I was in high school I gave a speech in my speech class about how a person can be fined $10,000 and face jail time for harming an eagle's egg but human eggs (fetuses) can be killed and all citizens are forced to help pay for it. WTH?????
    We are so messed up.

  11. It is a very sad situation. Human fetus must be protected too.

  12. That is sad but true! The world is turned upside down and call it democracy!

    ReplyDelete
  13. That says a lot about the world we live in. These days there is really no respect for human life. There is even a diminishing respect for each other. Very sad...

  14. So sad...we protect animals yet let our own go unprotected. sad world we live in.

  17. Those are all endangered species. Humans are not!

    1. What? As far as I am concerned, as soon as some other person believes they have the right to end my life when they choose to do so, I consider myself endangered!

      Delete
    2. Endangered as in nearly extinct. There are plenty of humans on this Earth. If your life is endangered, you should seek help for yourself.

    3. Not sure I understand your point. Are you saying that we should not kill Piping Plover eggs because then there might not be any more Piping Plovers on earth, but it is okay to kill human beings because there will still be plenty more human beings on this earth?

  25. So messed up. I've blogged about this before and posted on Facebook about it. I'm still boggled by some of the responses I received. It's as if some people refuse to really think about it.

  26. Okay, I thought I wrote a comment, but I guess it disappeared when I followed you below. Well, this here does not surprise me as to what you posted. Thanks for the wake up call!

  27. Thanks for stopping by, and dang talk about a wake up to reality, but this does not surprise me I must say! I have one for you. Did you know that S.I.D.S. back in 1977 did not receive funding from the government for research because it wasn't a disease? When I inquired (my daughter passed from SIDS that year) why it hasn't been proclaimed or passed as a disease their answer was... (brace yourself) BABIES DON'T VOTE!!! I was ROYALLY TICKED to put it mildly. Long story short in 1991 a law was passed that it was & the foundation started receiving government funding. You see they realized Parents, Grandparents, aunts, uncles etc. DO VOTE!!! The rest is history... Ooops it didn't delete my comment. Have a great day. FOLLOWING YOU!

  30. I agree- super powerful! While I may not agree with everyone's opinion, I truly believe that the world needs to take a closer look at ourselves and what our priorities are.

  34. That is a very powerful message! I just read a powerful poem by my 14 year-old daughter about being aborted (she wrote it in first person as if it happened to her). I'm glad we don't believe that abortion is an option, because if we did, there's the chance that I would have gotten rid of my fourth child. Imagine life without our little girl, Amanda! She has only made life richer for us even though I was miserable during my pregnancy and emotionally not ready for another one.

Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog! I'm glad you have a rescue dog that is wonderful. Our SPCA dog is also one of the best dogs, he doesn't chase cats or rabbits. He's super sweet. Our kitten was found, in case you haven't heard. Visit my blog to read the story at http://abooksandmore.blogspot.com
